These classes are ideal for anyone wishing to explore the wonderful world of textiles. Techniques covered include printing, couching, stitch skills and ink effects. The Friday class is ideal for students who have attended the Creative Crafts morning session and would like to expand their ideas.

Batik Cushions 2 day workshop

Spend a fun weekend exploring the methods of wax resist techniques whilst making patterns. You will create a design on cloth which will be sewn into a cushion cover for you to take home. We will base our design on a single flower motif but if you have your own interior design concept, feel free to bring ideas along to share and use.

Textile Techniques: Ripping and Slashing

Plastic Bag Bonding and Embellishment

By recycling the humble plastic bag wonderful textures can be created in this two day workshop. There will also be an opportunity to explore bead making with plastic. Please raid your cupboards and bring in any colourful plastic bags!
Hand-stitching

Complete three hand-stitched samples in a day. Work will then be mounted ready to be taken home and framed.
