Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, all activities at The Mill are currently suspended. 

If you are booked to attend any event at The Mill, including performances, film screenings, classes or workshops, there is no need to contact us – our Box Office team will be in touch with all ticket-holders as soon as possible regarding their booking. 

As you will appreciate, we have a significant volume of customers to contact, and so we will be working our way through in order of event date, so please bear with us if your booking date is further away.

We are continually reviewing the situation and will update this page regularly as information becomes available .

Classes & Workshops 

Classes and Workshops are currently suspended until the 31st August inclusive.

We had very much been hoping to be able to go ahead with our programme planned for the Summer Holiday period. However in line with latest government advice, we have reluctantly taken the decision to confirm the ongoing suspension of classes and workshops through until the end of August 2020.

If you are booked to take part in a class or workshop in August, our Box Office team will contact you in the next few days regarding your booking. Please note that we are currently working at limited capacity, so please bear with us!

However, we’re focusing all our energy on planning to be ready for starting up our classes and workshops again in September for the autumn term with appropriate safety-first measures in place.

We’ll be implementing additional cleaning and social distancing measures to ensure we can welcome you back to the classroom safely when it’s possible to do so.

Café Bar 

The Mill building, including our Café Bar, Gallery and Box Office is currently closed to the public until further notice. 

Following latest government updates, hospitality businesses are permitted to reopen from the 4th July. However, like all arts organisations our Café Bar is heavily dependent on the footfall from live events, classes and other activities taking place in the building – which remain suspended in line with government advice.

Whilst we are impatient to reopen, we could not hope to cover the costs of opening and staffing our building for this alone and risk placing the organisation under an additional financial pressure at this uncertain time. Therefore the Café Bar remains closed until further notice. We will continue to keep the situation under constant review.

Live Events & Films 

As we continue to monitor government advice concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, we have regretfully taken the decision to confirm the suspension of live events at The Mill through until 30th September 2020.

This is hugely disappointing, but we must ensure that we allow the time to re-configure our programme and to ensure that we only open when we can guarantee the safety of our staff, customers and artists.

Ticket holders will be contacted about affected events. If you have any questions, or if you are unsure about the status of the event you have booked for, please contact our Box Office team at boxoffice@themillartscentre.co.uk.

FAQs

My booking has been rescheduled. What should I do?

If your event, class or workshop has been rescheduled, our Box Office team will be in touch by email or phone.

  • I can make the new date. Great! Your booking will be automatically transferred and you don’t need to do anything else.
  • I can’t make the new date. No worries! Email us at boxoffice@themillartscentre.co.uk and we’ll get everything sorted. If it’s not possible to email, give us a call on 01295 279002. In light of the latest government advice, we aren’t able to staff our phone lines as usual but leave us a message and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

My event has been cancelled. What should I do?

If your event, class or workshop has been cancelled, our Box Office team will be in touch by email or phone.

I haven’t heard what’s happening with my booking.

We’re working hard to confirm details with the many events, companies and artists scheduled to use The Mill over the coming weeks. We will keep our ticket-holders informed as and when any changes are confirmed. Thank you for bearing with us!
