On Friday 6th March The Mill’s dance studio space will host two yoga sessions, led by Yoga Quota-trained teacher Jackie Balchin.
The 90-minute contemporary vinyasa morning practice will be open to all women for a small fee. Funds generated from this class will provide a further guided practice for those in the Banbury community that take time for others, but never make time for themselves. We’ll be asking you to nominate the unsung heroes of our area – the volunteers and carers that make our town a better place. They will have the chance to relax and restore, free of charge, during our afternoon session.
Vinyasa (translating to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a gentle rhythm for the practice. This 90 minute guided practice will conclude with restorative meditation and breath work to promote relaxation of the body and the mind.
If you are joining our yoga classes, please come in comfy clothes that you can move in. We will provide mats and props, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have them. We’d recommend that you bring along some water to drink. You can refill reusable bottles at any time in The Mill bar.
