Come and join canal boats, Milly, Muddy Waters and Jolly Boatman for a midsummer magical musical as they travel a very long and dark tunnel to visit the Old World. A family musical based on the popular Muddy Waters stories by local author Dan Clacher.
Milly is a wooden working boat whose timbers have never been right but a trip to the boatyard in the Old World has her spruced up and shipshape – except if she returns to the present, so will all the creaking and leaking…
A touching tale of friendship and saying goodbye with lots of shivery moments and laugh out loud moments (look out for grumpy Mrs Crane) and songs you will be humming for days!
After the show there will be time to meet the characters and their puppet selves, the actors as well as Dan, the author. All the Muddy Waters books will be on sale so you can take home a signed copy if there’s one you haven’t read already.
This might be based on a story for children, but really it’s for all ages, we have all had to live with saying goodbye to someone, and this does it beautifully. (Audience member Stoke Bruerne June 9th)
My favourite part was them going through the tunnel (Alfie, 4)
