A day packed with techniques to get your sketchbook off to a creative and inspiring start. Whether for holidays, travel or sketching when out and about, your sketchbooks can be used to spark future projects or enjoyed as a creative activity in itself. Weather permitting, we will explore The Mill’s beautiful historic waterside setting and nearby Spiceball Park. We will also have access to the art studio if needed.

This workshop will be led by artist and tutor, Ruth Broadbent. She is also the founder of walk.draw so will also include some experimental drawing exercises to help with finding inspiration whilst out walking with your sketchbooks.

Please bring a sketchbook with you and a fold up travel chair or mat to sit on.
