We will be using beautiful silk Saree strips to first construct a background 10-inch x 10- inch panel using a machine sewing . We will use lots of sequins, beads, gold or silver trim, metallic threads and an Indian themed logo i.e. Peacock, Hand with Henna themed embroidery or any ideas that you have; to make up your design with the Tutors help. These panels look amazing on the back of a denim jacket or could be incorporated in a bag or just as a decorative hanging.
Things to bring along to this workshop.
You may want to bring your own sewing machine. Metallic sewing machine thread, sewing needles, glass headed pins, fabric scissors and any bits you would like to use for embellishment on your panel, shinier all the better.
