FAQs

What are the Box Office opening hours?

The Box Office and Cafe Bar are open 9:30am-4:30pm Monday-Saturday.

On live event days, the Box Office will remain open until 15 minutes after the event start time.

Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Please see our social media for any unexpected changes to our opening times.

Tickets are available 24 hours a day through our website.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Over the phone and online we accept Mastercard, Visa and Maestro. We are unable to accept American Express.

In person we accept all the above cards, as well as cash and cheques with a valid cheque guarantee card.

Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed in person.

Is there a booking fee?

A booking fee of £2 and a £1 restoration levy are included in the advertised price of all tickets.

Why do you have a booking fee and restoration levy?

The majority of the income we receive on events goes directly to event producers and touring companies. The income generated from the additional fees contribute to maintaining our Box Office and help guarantee the sustainability of The Mill Arts Centre.

Can you refund or exchange tickets?

All tickets are non-refundable, except when an event is cancelled or in exceptional circumstances. We can try to resell any unwanted tickets, however The Mill’s unsold tickets take priority. If we are able to resell, a credit to the value of the tickets, less the booking fee, will be made to your account.

What happens if I’m late?

We recognise that sometimes people will run late. However, to minimise disruption you will be seated at a suitable break in the performance at the nearest available seat. Some performances have a strict ‘no latecomers’ policy.

Can I bring my baby?

Any child over 12 months must have their own ticket, regardless of whether they use the seat or sit on your lap.

Unless there is an age restriction on the show, if your baby is under 12 months then they can sit on your lap with no charge by booking a free Babes in Arms pass at checkout. Please note that this policy does not usually apply for Early Years performances, where everyone attending will need their own ticket.

Do you have nearby parking?

There is a public pay and display car park adjacent to The Mill Arts Centre. The car park is free after 6pm.
