Local theatres join forces for magical early years Christmas production

Oxford-based theatre company Tiny Light Theatre, in association with Chipping Norton Theatre and The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury, are delighted to announce Snow, an early years Christmas show to be performed in Bicester and Chipping Norton this December.

One cold winter morning, Holly and Juniper wake up to find the whole world blanketed in white fluffy snow. They can’t wait to get outside and play – but first Mum needs to wrap them up and get their boots on the right feet!

Developed in Iceland, Snow is a magical, immersive, multi-sensory adventure with live music and puppetry. The perfect introduction to live theatre, and the perfect Christmas adventure for 0-5 year olds and their families.

Ceri Ashcroft, Artistic Director, Tiny Light Theatre, said: “We developed Snow pre-pandemic in 2020 at Handbendi Brúðuleikhús studio in Iceland and with local families in Banbury and Chipping Norton, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the show to Oxfordshire this winter!”

John Terry, Artistic Director, The Theatre Chipping Norton, said: “Although our world famous traditional Panto has been running since 1974, this is the first time we have played a part in creating a show for those who might be too young or not yet have the concentration span for a full length pantomime. We have long admired Tiny Light’s work for the very young, and the gorgeous multi-sensory worlds that they create. It is also a great pleasure to be working with an Oxfordshire company, and alongside another Oxfordshire venue, on a show that will be a real celebration of all things wintery!”

Georgia Bradley, Artistic Director & Joint CEO, The Mill Arts Centre, said: “We’re delighted to be working with our friends at Tiny Light Theatre and The Theatre Chipping Norton on this exciting Christmas production. Snow is a truly magical interactive adventure for young children by a fantastic Oxfordshire-based theatre company – we can’t wait to share it with local families this December.”
