In this workshop you will make a 10×6 inch sample using different mixed media techniques. You will experiment with screwed up paper to make your collage background which you can hide words and images in. You will make a realistic butterfly for your sample by using the packing tape transfer technique. You will also use tea bag paper to be able to transfer in hand sewing flowers, cow parsley or an image of your choice (tutor also has a folder of patterns you can use) and to finish the sample off you can include 3D butterflies.

This course takes place in the Art Studio. Please note that regrettably this room is not accessible to wheelchair users due to necessary fire evacuation regulations.
Access Information – Art Studio. The main entrance has level access. On your right, there is a button to open the door to the Café Bar automatically. Head forwards into the Gallery, turn right up the ramp and proceed through two sets of double doors (please note there is no automatic button to open these doors). Please be aware that there are low ceilings and low door frames in this area. Turn right and proceed up the stairs (six steps, a landing, and then seven steps). Proceed through the doors straight ahead, then another set of doors straight ahead, and turn right through another door into the Art Studio.
