The Mill Arts Centre invites you to a Sharing and Networking event with Anjali Dance Company and Dancin’ Oxford, focusing on approaches to inclusive dance practice.

The event will begin with an informal sharing of Anjali’s Summer Project: Dance Develop Perform, a creative programme for young people aged 16-30 years with learning disabilities to develop their dance and creativity skills, build their confidence and fitness, make new friends and perform.

Following the sharing, The Mill’s Creative Director, Emma Hiorns will host a Q&A with Anjali’s Producer, Natalie Haslam and Director of Dancin’ Oxford, Claire Thompson, to discuss inclusive arts practice from the perspective of both the artist and the participant.

Finally, there will be an opportunity to wind down in the foyer over light refreshments and meet fellow professionals and artists engaging in inclusive practice.

This event is for artists, producers and programmers looking to deepen their approach and understanding of inclusive practice, connect with dancers, facilitators, and producers shaping truly accessible and creative dance experiences and be inspired by a successful model that empowers learning disabled young people through performance and community.
