Come to The Mill and create your own scrap paper Sun Bonnet for the Banbury Summer Fest Parade!
The Banbury Summer Fest Parade will feature a parade, dancers, music, costumes and plenty of colour. Drummers from North Oxfordshire Academy will lead the parade through the streets to the Market Place where there will be a party. So come along to The Mill before the parade starts and make a beautiful Sun Bonnet to wear and join in the fun!
Our friendly Mill team will be on hand to show you how to make your bonnet and give you creative suggestions, but this will be your space to make something special rather than a step-by-step taught class. Materials will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own scrap paper and crafty supplies from home!
This is a free event, book you guaranteed space in advance or simply drop in on the day. All ages welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.
9:30am – 10:30am on Saturday 21st June
After you’ve made your sun bonnet, head to the Banbury Summer Fest Parade to wear it with pride! The parade will start at 11:00 am sharp from the Castle Quay information desk and end at the Market Place.
