Spend the day weaving a grid of calico and lace. You may have a treasured piece of lace that you wanted to do something with this is the ideal project. The grid is sewn down using zig zag machine stitching to create a new piece of cloth. You will then be ready to plan out your design using tea bag paper to transfer your images with hand stitching. The tutor will have lots of images for you to chose from.
You may bring your own sewing machine or we have sewing machines available. Please bring fabric scissors, pins with glass heads, sewing needles and any lace you would like to use.

This course takes place in the Art Studio. Please note that regrettably this room is not accessible to wheelchair users due to necessary fire evacuation regulations. The main entrance is level access. On your right, there is a button to open the automatic door to the Café Bar. Head forwards into the Gallery, turn right up the ramp and proceed through two sets of double doors (please note there is no automatic button to open these doors). Please be aware that there are low ceilings and low door frames in this area. Turn right and proceed up the stairs (six steps, a landing, and then seven steps). Proceed through the doors straight ahead, then another set of doors straight ahead, and turn right through another door into the Art Studio.
Age recommendation for adult courses is 19+.
