High-energy performances, top-drawer musicianship, precise vocal harmonies: all capturing the very essence of Beatles music – among the reasons why so many ‘hard-core’ Beatles fans come to see the Dung Beatles time and again since they formed in 2013.
Referring to themselves as “a Beatles rock band rather than tribute” (no wigs, costumes or backing tracks!), their repertoire includes the hits, album gems, and songs never performed live by the Beatles themselves.
They’re true specialists! For example, in 2019 they performed a faithful rendition of the ‘Abbey Road’ album in its entirety for a thousand theatre goers on the exact day of its 50th anniversary!
With hundreds of gigs played, including Liverpool’s Cavern Club, multiple ‘live sessions’ on BBC Radio, theatres and festivals, one of their proudest achievements was raising £20,000 from their ‘Concert for Ukraine’ initiative last year.
At this special show the band will perform with their 4-piece horn section ’The Hornettes’ for a set that ranges from early to late Beatles, plus a medley of songs from the early ‘70s. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
